G&G GBT Violet Contacts From PinkyParadise Review

Since I had a little extra money I bought G&G GBT violet contacts from Pinky Paradise. I really loved their G&G GBT sky contacts, so I decided to get the violet ones this time. On the website, they look like this:
GBT Violet Circle Lenses (Colored Contacts)
Our Price: $19.90
Diameter: 14.0mm/14.5mm
Water Content: 38%
Base Curve: 8.7mm/8.6mm
Life Span: 1 year disposal
What is Inside: One pair of lenses and one cutie animal lens case

I got the 14.0mm ones because I wanted them to match the diameter of my eyes perfectly. Anything larger usually irritates my eyes since I'm not used to bigger contacts.

COMFORT: Let me just start off by saying that these are the best contacts, next to the G&G GBT Sky contacts, that I have ever owned. They are so much more comfortable than the ones I get from my eye doctor. I have actually worn these for 7-8 hours some days, (I wouldn't exceed that with any kind of contacts) and it was like I didn't have anything in my eyes. I didn't get a headache like I do when I wear my normal contacts, which is great. I think I will actually just switch to these for my everyday contacts. 5/5

COLOR:I really like the color of these. These contacts are definitely purple, but when they mix together with my natural eyes color (greenish blue), they give my eyes a greyish blue hue in inside lighting, which looks really cool. Also, it is not a very drastic change from my normal eye color. 5/5

DESIGN: I really like how the design enhances the color without making them look like they belong to an alien. Not having them be completely opaque with clear spots make the contacts blend very well. I also like how the ring around the iris is not a solid line. It gives it a realistic look. And, the fact that the contacts aren't super big and fit over my eyes perfectly gives it a nice touch. 5/5

Overall, I give these contacts a rating of 5/5. They are perfect. I love wearing them, especially with my purple wig. They are comfy, and every time I go out or wear them to work, I get compliments. The best part about these contacts are they will last an entire year, not to mention Pinky Paradise sent me a free contacts case which was purple elephants to match my contacts. They made it easy for me to remember what contacts are in each case because since each case matches the colors of the contacts. I got to hand it to them; they are very awesome. Lastly, they did give me two little small gifts. One was a little packet of cream for dark circles under your eyes. The second gift was Velcro hair thingies that hold your hair back for when you are putting in contacts or putting on makeup.

Care Tips:
  • Always brush your Luxy Hair Extensions gently with a soft bristle brush before and after use.
  • Luxy Hair should be washed every 10-20 wears or when there is too much build-up of products and they become unmanageable or difficult to style.
  • Wash in lukewarm water, then apply a small amount of shampoo. Rinse out the shampoo and apply a conditioner. Rinse thoroughly. Allow to air dry.
  • Always use a heat-protecting spray when using hot tools such as flat irons and curling irons.
  • Store your Luxy Hair Extensions in a safe place away from jealous women who would be tempted to steal them."

My thoughts: When I ordered these extensions I was very unsure of the color to get because my hair was black, and I was going to bleach my hair to a darkish blonde color. The website of course has several videos, one of which shows all the colors and puts them against other colors to show the difference. I have to tell you that video is very useful. It helped me a lot while I was trying to determine what shade of blonde I wanted. The site is easy to navigate and there are many reviews with the addition of real life photos of people wearing the extensions in each shade/color.

So I ordered the dirty blonde in a 160g since my hair is a medium thickness. Plus, I had ordered the 160g set in chocolate brown two years ago, and it worked well thickness wise (sorry I didn't review those). Anyways, I ordered these extensions I got them in three to four weeks because they were on backorder, which was okay because the website made it very clear when they would ship. I'm not complaining at all. When I had ordered my brown ones, they came in about four days, so the shipping is reasonable when they have them in stock.

My extensions came neatly packed in a fancy red box. On the side of the
larger opening of the box, there is a seal that says, "Cannot Return or Exchange If Opened." That portion has all the hair except one piece. And below that, on the smaller opening portion of the box says, "Open Me First." This part contains a one-clip extension that you can take out to match to your actual hair. To me, this is genius because I noticed from other reviews that there are brands that won't
let you open any part of the extension container so you can match it to your hair, which is very frustrating. This box also contained to extra clips just incase your clips break or fall off.

The hair was super soft and silky. Prior to ordering these, I watched several YouTube reviews about these extensions because I was worried about the dryness that could occur since these were blonde extensions. Many reviewers on there stated that the blonde extensions felt dryer than the other colors. In my opinion, these weren't dry at all. I even washed them to take off that silicon coating they come with, and honestly, they felt exactly the same, so I don't know what those people were talking about. Is it possible they got a bad batch? Certainly. They also complained that when they straightened them some of the hair melted and black specks were left on their hot tools. The only time I straightened mine were after I washed them and had them sit out to dry. I only had two or three black specks on my straightener, but that could be because I didn't wash out the silicon coating well enough. The hair did not melt though. It is real human hair that can be dyed. Just don't forget to wash them well as soon as you get them to take of that silicon coating.

Since my hair was still black, I needed to give this hair to my hair stylist so she could mix the colors and bleach I needed to match these extensions. It took two efforts to get my hair to the blonde I wanted, which was expected. You can't go black to a blonde in one try obviously. As you can see in the picture my extensions are a tad darker than what my real hair is, but it's hardly noticeable. My stylist had a difficult time getting my hair to match my extensions because parts of my hair didn't want to bleach at all, so she had to use a higher volume developer. I think it turned out pretty good.

These extensions are super easy to put in, and if you are not sure, there are videos on the website that show you. One thing I did not like was how some of the thread on the bigger wefts came loose and just hang at the ends of it. For the amount I paid for these, that should not happen. That's the only thing that I did not like. As for shedding, I only had a few strands come out when I combed them while they were still wet, which is no big deal. The thickness towards the bottom is amazing. It doesn't tapper off and retains 85-90% of its thickness from the top to the bottom. According to the Luxy website, these extensions can last between 3 months to 1 year. My brown ones lasted 2 years even though handled them pretty roughly. I dyed them a bunch of times and washed them harshly by not following the websites directions at all. I straightened them and curled them so many times and without heat protectant spray. I do not recommend doing what I did. If you want them in great condition and to last a long time, follow the website's instructions.

Overall, I give these extensions a rating of 9.5 out of 10. They are gorgeous, long, thick, silky, and tangle very little. Thank You, Luxy!
