PinkyParadise Contacts Review - G&G GBT Sky

COMFORT: Let me just start off by saying that these are the best contacts that I have ever owned. They are so much more comfortable than the ones I got from my eye doctor. Today, I wore them for eight hours, (I wouldn't exceed that with any kind of contacts) and it was like I didn't have anything in my eyes. I didn't get a headache like I do when I wear my normal contacts, which is great. I think I will actually just switch to these for my everyday contacts. 5/5

COLOR:I really like the color of these. It's the blue color I've always wished my eyes were. Also, it's not a very drastic change from my normal eye color. 5/5

DESIGN: I really like how the design enhances the color without making them look like they belong to an alien. Not having them be completely opaque with clear spots make the contacts blend very well. I also like how the ring around the iris is not a solid line. It gives it a realistic look. And, the fact that the contacts aren't super big and fit over my eyes perfectly gives it a nice touch. 5/5

Overall, I give these contacts a perfect score of 5/5. I couldn't be happier with these. They even look great in photos.

Youknowit.com Contacts Review

I ordered these blue contacts online from youknowit.com. It's a great site that has a wide variety of contacts, even ones for cosplay. So, the contacts I ordered are called "Blue Artist Phantasee", and they are by ColorVue. It's water content is 45% and makes it comfortable for your eyes. I am someone with very sensitive eyes, and these contacts are very comfortable. Although, after about six hours, they start to itch. To me, it's not such a big deal because six hours is a very long wear time as it is. My normal contacts last about eight hours before they give me a headache, and those ones are prescription. These contacts are supposed to last a year. I have had these since May 2013, and they are holding up well.

For the color, it is a very bright blue that look a bit fake when you look at them close up. I was hoping that they were going to be a little translucent, so they didn't look so fake. These contacts are very opaque and would work well on dark eyes. For me, I wear them when I  get my picture taken because they look good in photos.

These contacts took about two and a half weeks to get to me, which is understandable because they are coming from Europe.

I give these an 8/10. I wish they were a little translucent and looked less fake.

Outfit of the Day #2

Rhapsody in Rose Wig: Gothic Lolita Wigs/Rockstar Wigs/Dolluxe
Kimono Cardigan: Forever21
Crop Tank-top: Forever21
Shorts: Wetseal
Shoes: Deb
Elephant Necklace: Forever21
Chinese Symbol Necklaces: Yak and Yeti Shop in Disney World's Animal Kingdom
Bracelets (except Buddha and braided ones): Deb
Headband: ????/Christmas gift
For this outfit I was going for a foreign, more so Japanese, look. I chose the kimono cardigan as the base and chose the other articles of clothing to match it, trying to keep a balance of dark blue and black. Nothing really inspired this look. I just thought those items went well together, so not very much effort went into this. Although, this outfit would definitely look better if I had something on my legs like over-the-knee socks, perhaps thin white ones. Not quite sure.

Jacket: Forever21
KISS Tank-top: Wetseal
Plaid Skirt: Milanoo
Black Combat Boots: Deb
Bow Headband: Forever21
Bracelets (except Buddha and braided ones): Deb
Chinese Symbol Necklaces: Yak and Yeti Shop in Disney World’s Animal Kingdom
Cross Charm Necklace: Wetseal
For this outfit, I was inspired by the anime Rosario + Vampire. The skirt it part of the school uniform from that show. I got the idea to match the hair with this outfit from Moka, another character from that anime. Her pink hair goes well with the yellow plaid skirt, which is why I used those two things as the base for the outfit. Since the skirt gave off this punk rock look by itself, I just went along with that style and added more clothing in that style. The "KISS" tank-top was perfect for this style, and the black with subtle amounts of red and white matched great with the skirt. As for the jacket, I wanted to add more contrast to the original color scheme (yellow, black, red, and white)but at the same time keep with the style. This jacket was perfect because it gives off this rock vibe with the denim, studs, and graffiti-like writing on the back. I added black combat boots and bow headband to keep the balance of black going. The bracelets on my wrist are to add a little color, and the necklaces were added to make my neck not look so bare and plain. I usually stock with silver jewelry because it goes better with my skin than gold. If I were to add anything it would either be black or grey torn up stockings or black over-the-knee socks. I do feel like my legs are a little bare.

Rhapsody in Rose Wig Review

Stock Photo
Stock Photo
When I first saw this wig online, I immediately fell in live with it. The main pink color wasn’t super dramatic, and the way that it fades into a lighter pink made this wig even more gorgeous. I just had to buy it. When I got this wig in the mail I was very surprised on how puffy and crazy the waves/curls were. When I put it on my head, my face was engulfed by all of the hair. It was crazy. The waviness was not like the stock picture, but when I quickly ran the flat iron through it, that’s when it started to calm down and look like the photo on the site. Not really a big deal. The bangs were exactly like the stock photo though. Since my face has a weird shape, it doesn’t look good with the side swept bangs, so I cut them straight across. That was my intention anyway. Eventually, I straightened the entire wig, which took an hour. No surprise there.
Did not alter hair. Had to pin some of it under to make it not so puffy and overwhelming.

Other than having super curly/wavy hair, the wig is pretty thick, soft, and airy. I feel like the hair is even softer after you straighten it, but it could just be me. You can’t see the wefts in the back, which is a good thing. And, on the inside of the weft, there are three pins that keep the wig in place (One in the front and two in the back). In addition, there are adjustable straps in the back. There is a small skintop at the top of the wig to make it look like your scalp is underneath it. Lastly, the hair of this wig isn’t shiny, which makes it seem more like natural hair.
As for shipping, I had to pre-order it since it was out of stock, but once it was in stock, it came within seven days. It would have come in three days, but the series of snow storms delayed the mail a few days, which is understanding. I wouldn’t want anyone getting hurt while trying to drive in eight inches of snow and an inch of ice.
I am rating this wig a 10/10 for its perfection. It is everything I hoped for. I just wish it was less than $64, but hey, it was worth every penny. I really want to get the burgundy one in rhapsody as well, but that won’t be for a very long time. I need a new job first. Blahhh….
Thanks for reading!

Wig in Wine Red Review

Under natural lighting
Under natural lighting
To start off, I bought this wig from Jayshow2012 on eBay. The hair was very soft, softer than my own hair, which was very impressive. The color is a natural-looking burgundy/wine red and is made up of a blend of different reds and black. I particularly like this hair style because of the waves since my natural hair has the same exact type of waves in it. This wig is also very similar to Gothic Lolita Wigs’ version of Rhapsody in burgundy. The only difference is that this wig here was  $10.88, and Gothic Lolita Wigs’ version is $64.00. For an almost $11 wig, it is super great quality. There is also a skintop to make the little part at the top look like your scalp. The only thing I do not like is that mesh cap that supports the wig is not very stretchy and seems a bit small for the amount of hair I am hiding. Another thing is the hair is a bit thin, so if you split your hair in half to bring it up to the front, you can see the wig cap and mesh underneath in the back. Shipping was free as well. I rate this wig 8/10. It’s not bad if you want a cheap but real looking wig. Honestly, you get what you pay for. GLW rhapsody in burgundy would probably be a hundred times better. If I had the money, I would definitely buy it from them.

Straight Black and Teal Split Wig Review

DSC01136v2wp
I got this wig from Gothic Lolita/Rockstar wigs, which has been renamed Dolluxe. The hair in this wig is long and soft, though, under bright light the hair does shine more than normal hair. It’s not really a big deal because you can put some baby powder on it to make it less shiny. The hair is super long and falls to my bellybutton (I’m 5’2”). Also, the hair is so thick that you can’t see the wig cap or netting. There are adjustable straps as well, so the wig doesn’t fall off your head. This wig does have a little skintop, which looks like your scalp, making the wig look like your real hair. The company was kind enough to include a wig cap, and was able to get it to me within a week. Overall, I give this wig a 8/10 because it was a tad on the expensive side and shiny.
It would seem this wig company discontinued this series for now. Perhaps they will make more in the future. I hope they do because I wanted the black and burgundy one as well.

Sweet Pink Long Curly Synthetic Wig Review

Sweet Pink Long Curly Synthetic Wig
Sweet Pink Long Curly Synthetic Wig
This is one of my favorite wigs to wear, and I got it from milanoo.com. The product matches the stock photo perfectly, and I was so happy when I got it. The hair is soft and curly, which can be straightened with a flatiron on 180 degrees (but if I were you, I would start lower and build up towards that just in case). My wig came already styled with two low pigtails. The hair is thick enough to hide the cap underneath. It also has a slight part with a tiny skintop. I still like to wear hats with it because it looks less fake with one than without one. This wig does come with adjustable straps in the back, so it stays on your head. My favorite part about this wig is the color. The pink isn’t too dramatic since the hair is made up of a light brown and light pink blend.
I give this wig a 10/10. It’s the perfect color for my skin, it is not very expensive, and I’m overall in love with it.

2 Tone Sweet Brown/Blonde Straight Wig Review

Himecastle.com stock photo
For this wig, I was a little disappointed because the blonde isn’t quite as light as shown in HimeCastle’s stock picture. But, in all fairness, I haven’t gone out in bright light since it’s been pretty much snowing all week. The brown section of the wig is spot on though. The photo sort of looks like it’s a split wig with one half blonde and the other half brown. That is not the case, but of course I knew that from studying the photo closely. It is actually mostly blonde with a little brown section in the front and is the reason I ordered it. I’m not to keen on the two-toned split in the middle wigs, well in this colored style anyway.
The hair is really long, soft, thick and straight. I also noticed that each colored section has a blend of other colors. For example, the blonde section is made up of really light blonde, caramel, light brown, and strawberry blonde strands, giving the hair a caramel/strawberry blondish look. As for the brown section, it is made up of light brown, dark brown, and black strands. This hair looks very real, and doesn’t have that fake sheen to it. The hair is very long (for me because I’m 5’2”). It comes all the way down passed my bellybutton. The thickness hides the wig’s weft, which is great. Not to mention, there are adjustable straps so you can wear it comfortably without it falling off your head. As for the bangs, they were a bit long (passed my nose), so I cut them shorter, not really a big deal. The only thing I do not like it the top where the hair meets up. It was supposed to be a skintop, but there really wasn’t. There was just a place where the hair meets, which gave it a fake look to it. If you are a person who loves to wear hats and hair accessories like me, then it’s not quite a big deal, but since I paid $46.90 (not including shipping) it should have a skintop.
After my order was processed, I received the wig within 2-3 days. As a bonus, the company added nail art, which had a $6, for free, which was very nice. The package did include their business card as well. Overall, I give this product an 8.5 /10 because I wish it was the blonde was lighter and a skintop. Other than that, there is nothing wrong with it. I’d say they almost tie with Gothic Lolita Wigs. They are not quite there yet, but I will buy from them again considering I wear this wig the most.

Classic Milk Tea Mix Wig Review

GLW in classic milk tea

Let me just start off by saying Gothic Lolita Wigs, now known as Dolluxe, is hands down the best wig company in the United States. They have great customer service along with great products. So, I ordered this wig Dec. 27 and got it Jan. 2. The packaging was in an envelope and was pretty secure. The wig was inside a plastic bag with a mesh net around it to keep the hair in place, which was secured even more with cardboard surrounding it. As a bonus, the wig came with a free nude-colored wig cap, which was nice.
At first, I was worried because blonde tones don’t usually go well with my skin tone, but this wig did, thank God. The wig itself was a little lighter than what the website’s pictured showed, which is what I wanted. The color looks natural and doesn’t give off that fake-looking shine a lot of cheap wigs do. It has long, thick, luscious curls that fall to my hips (I’m 5’2”). Since the hair is so thick, you can’t see the wig cap or any of the inside cap that has the hair sewn into it. The hair also feels like my natural hair, giving it that authentic look. The bangs actually came long like in the website’s photo, which I knew would happen, so I cut them and made the wig look even cuter. There are adjustable straps as well to make it fit comfortably on your head without it falling off. As a bonus, there are stick pins, two in the back and one in the front, that keep the wig stable and fastened to your head, so you don’t have to worry about it sliding off or anything.

Over all, I am very satisfied with the product. 10/10. I will definitely be shopping there again, and I do recommend this place to everyone. I’m not going to lie, it is a little pricey; I paid $45 for this wig, but it was worth it. You can’t find a wig store better than this.
